Attorney & Founder

“Since he was a boy, Chris would argue with a stop sign! I’m not surprised he’s a lawyer.”
– Mom

As a Birmingham, AL criminal defense and personal injury attorney, I know better than to argue with a stop sign. However, I will always be a strong voice for my clients. Since I started this firm, I have handled a number of cases that gained local and state attention and news coverage. And though I pride myself on a great trial record, I also understand that sometimes we need to negotiate or find outside-the-box solutions to get the best results for our clients. I firmly believe that my ability to combine these two perspectives is one of the reasons I have been recognized multiple times in Birmingham Magazine’s annual “Birmingham’s Top Attorneys.”

It’s great to be recognized as a top attorney in Birmingham, AL because it’s my hometown. I graduated from West End High School and then the University of North Alabama before I earned my law degree from Birmingham School of Law. In law school, I was President of the Black Law Student Association and Vice-President of Sigma Delta Kappa, the school’s honorary law fraternity. I was also Captain of the Trial Advocacy Team and was selected for publication in the Southern Journal of Policy and Justice, where I was also chosen as “Editor of the Year” for Volume III.

Because I am one of the few Alabama lawyers that specialize in helping people get their driver’s license back, some folks call me “The Driver License Lawyer.” I’m fine with that title, although a larger part of my practice is handling serious criminal cases and personal injury matters (car wrecks, medical malpractice, etc.). I do not shy away from taking tough cases. I pride myself on listening to my clients, understanding their needs, and adding a voice to their cause, speaking for them in a way that they may not be able to themselves.

I handle cases in municipal and state courts all over Alabama. I also handle federal cases in the U. S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama.

I am involved not only in the bar, but also in my community. Some of my associations include:

  • Alabama Bar Association, Young Lawyer Section (Executive Committee Member)
  • Magic City Bar Association (Executive Board Member)
  • University of North Alabama Alumni Association (Birmingham Chapter President)
  • More Than Conquerors Faith Church (Men’s Committee)
  • Growing Kings, Inc. Mentoring Initiative
  • I AM Greatness, Inc. Mentoring Initiative
  • American Bar Association
  • American Association for Justice
